These old Italian leg Exvotos, also known as a Milagros come from Southern Italy, near Naples, and could be as much as 100 years old. Most are silver plated over brass. Exvotos were often left in a church as a thank you for answered prayers or in prayer for someone in need. These were likely used to pray for someone’s leg. The large one measures approximately 8” long and has a hole in the top for hanging if preferred. We also have a smaller 6” and a medium 7” size as shown in the drop-down menu. And we’ve been fortunate to receive a few XL 9”from our supplier, but our supplier’s stock is nearing depletion and once they are gone, I will not be able to order more.
Each Milagros is different depending upon usage and how long it may have been left at the church. I’m happy to send you photos so you can choose your Milagros or I can choose one for you.
