These old Italian baby Exvotos, or Milagros measure about 5” long for the small, 6” for the medium and 8” for the large. They were found in Southern Italy near Naples. Exvotos are also known as Milagros or Miracles, and were placed in churches as a thank you for answered prayer or in prayer for a loved one. Most are silver plated over brass.
The patina on each piece depends upon age and how long it was in the church. Some could be as much as 100 years old. Each has its own imperfections, so I’m giving you the option to select the one you wish to purchase according to its number. Please see the photos for size and number selections that are listed in the drop-down menu. Also, each Milagros has a hole in the top for hanging if preferred. A beautiful collectible that is getting harder to find these days, especially in the U.S.
NOTE: These are authentic Milagros that are nearly 100 years old and they have imperfections due to age and usage. If imperfections are not your thing, please do not order these, as they are very old and have been used and left at churches for extended periods of time.
Please read the full description and review the sample photos as we want to meet your expectations. I’m happy to answer any questions prior to purchase as returns are not available. Thank you for visiting The Dade City Wild Fern.
