These old Italian exvotos, also called a Milagros or miracles were discovered in Southern Italy, near Naples about twenty years ago. These Milagros were often left in churches as a thank you for answered prayer or for the prayers of a loved one. The torso Milagros was probably used to pray for someone with stomach issues or maybe even a pregnancy. These treasures are getting harder to find and could be as much as 100 years old. The patina on each one depends upon its length and use in churches.
Each Milagros is different depending upon how long it remained on display in the church. Some have more patina and wear than others. If imperfections are not your thing, please do not order these as all contain some degree of imperfection from age and usage over the past 100 years.
This torso Milagros measures about 4.5” tall by 3.7” wide and has a cut-out at the top for hanging, if preferred. They are sold individually in the drop-down menu and are numbered so you can select the one you wish to purchase.
