Ironstone English Gravy Boat Royal Staffordshire Clarice Cliff Tonquin Blue Transferware
$19.99
Details
This beautiful, mini gravy boat was made by Royal Staffordshire in England. Its Tonquin pattern was designed by Clarice Cliff, a renowned British ceramic artist who brought a modern flare to pottery in the 1930s-1960s.
This gravy boat is a collectible piece of blue and white Transferware pottery. It’s a vintage English piece that likely dates back to the 1940s.
It measures about 5.5” from handle to spout and is 2.8” tall. It is in very good condition. There is a smooth cut out on the front bottom rim that is covered in its glossy glazed finish, so I’m not sure if it is supposed to be this way or if it’s a manufacturer’s error. Please see photos.
