If you love stained and crazed ironstone, then you’ll love this 11.75” x 9.75” oval plate or platter as much as I do. This one has lots of crazing which has resulted in stains all over the platter. It was made in England by J&G Meakin and is labeled as ironstone on the back stamp.
Meakin was an English pottery manufacturing company founded in 1851 in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
This platter is in nice condition with no chips. Just lots of crazing and stains due to its age. It’s a treasure to add to any ironstone collection.
