This pretty bowl is a J&G Meakin Romantic England red transferware bowl made in Staffordshire England. Its scene depicts Warwick’s West Gate and an intricate floral and berry border. It has a pretty scalloped rim and a maker’s mark with bowl description on the bottom.
This pattern was made from the 1940s to the 1970s. The bowl is ironstone/earthenware and measures about 8.25” in diameter by 2.5” tall. It is in very good condition with no chips, vibrant color and a glossy finish.
