Advertising Ironstone Soap Dish Bank of America

$24.99

Details

This ironstone soap dish is a rare piece of advertising for The Bank of America, the second largest bank holding company in the United States.
These soap dishes were made by Shenango China from the 1920s to the early 1950s, but when combined with the L. Barth and Co., New York name on the backstamp, it limits its production to between 1920 and 1925, making this dish 100 years old.
This soap dish was made exclusively for the Bank of America and measures about 5.5” x 4” in size.
It’s a durable piece of chunky ironstone and is in very good condition with no chips. It has some brown spots and pitted spots on the back side and a few scratches from usage. But overall, it’s in really nice condition for a 100 year old rare piece. A nice addition to an ironstone or restaurant ware collection. And the perfect gift for a banker.
