Details
This is a vintage French glazed stoneware vinegar crock bottle from the Bornier establishment in Dijon, France. It features a black stencil text detailing its former contents.
This bottle is made from ivory ceramic stoneware material, typical of commercial vinegar storage in the early 20th century. This bottle probably dates between the 1930s and the 1960s.
The text indicates the bottle held “Vinaigrevieux de vin rouge” (old red wine vinegar) and mentions a 7% acidity level.
It is in very good condition with no chips and has a glossy glazed finish. It measures about 4.2” in diameter and is about 11” tall.
