Ironstone Soap Dish Henry Alcock England Transferware

$29.99

Details

This is an antique ironstone soap dish made by Henry Alcock in Cobridge, England.
It features a transferware floral design with pink, yellow and white flowers with brown leaves. This dish has a soft scalloped rim. It bears its maker’s mark on the base.
Alcock produced his floral ironstone soap dishes between the 1890s and 1910s in Cobridge, England.
This soap dish is in good condition. Given it’s over 100 years old, it has a few very small chips (one on the corner and one along the rim) as shown in the photos. It may also have a few tiny flea bites that you can feel when running your fingers around the edge. Overall, it’s a beautiful collectible piece of English ironstone and Transferware from the past.
