This is a beautiful antique ceramic creamer made by the Crescent Pottery Co. in Trenton, New Jersey around 1898.
It features a flow blue style flower design on a white background. The pattern is called Severn and is known by its cobalt blue flowers.
This is a large creamer measuring about 4.5” from handle to spout and standing nearly 5” tall to the top of the spout.
It’s over 125 years old and is in nice condition with no chips. You may find tiny, tiny flea bites if you run your hand along the rim and base, but nothing that stands out. The color is beautiful and it has a glossy finish. There is a scratch, like a cross, on the front side as can be seen in the photos, but you cannot feel it. Some staining to the ironstone has started along the inside rim of the creamer. It also has age spots scattered around the creamer. And it has a mark on the bottom with the pattern name.
It’s a beauty of a creamer from the past and a treasured collectible. Happy it survived over the years.
