Details
Gorgeous flow blue plates by W. H. Grindley of England. These highly collectible plates feature The Marechal Neil pattern which was first introduced in 1896 and were no longer made after 1917.
They feature a characteristic floral transferware pattern on white ironstone with scalloped edges. They have a blurry cobalt blue color detail known as “flow”. You can really see the “flow” color on the reverse side where the blue color ran or flowed across the white base color rim.
These plates have been well loved as they are in very good condition. They are chip free and have beautiful flow blue color. You may find some crazing on these plates due to age and pitted or age spots. One of the 10” dinner plates has a chip and is being sold at a discount price in the drop-down menu. You can see this plate with chip in the last two photos.
These plates are sold individually in the drop-down menu as follows:
Dinner plates (10” diameter)
Luncheon plates (8” diameter)
Salad plates (7” diameter)
Chipped dinner plate (discounted price)
These are a beautiful example of flow blue plates and are highly collectible pieces today.
