Details
This is a Mason’s ironstone covered trinket box in the classic green Fruit Basket transferware pattern. It features a detailed basket filled with fruits.
Produced in England by Mason’s during the 1950s, it was part of their Fruit Basket collection that included dinner ware pieces.
This box is in very nice condition with vibrant color. It has one small chip on the base rim that you can’t see unless you turn the box over (see photos). It has some character crazing due to age. It has a maker’s mark on its base.
It measures about 5.75” by 4.6” by 1.75”.
It’s a beautiful piece of vintage English ironstone and transferware and will make a nice addition to any ironstone collection.
