This is a vintage English stoneware advertising jug featuring whimsical text and graphics reading, “India Panama Horse Hat”. It is stamped “Made in England” on its base.
It features an illustration of a horse wearing a straw hat with ear holes, accompanied by text about the “protection of horses”.
It was often used to hold salad dressing or whiskey. It’s a nice piece of collectible advertising.
This crock jug measures about 7” tall and its base is about 3.75” inches diameter. It’s a beige color glaze with black imprint design.
