Set of two green hardback vintage books titled, “The Caterpillars of British Moths”. This set includes the First Series and The Second Series published in 1948 by Frederick Warne & Co. Ltd. of London. These books were printed in Great Britain and are stamped inside as “County Library Springfield Maidstone”. Springfield is an area located north of the town center in Maidstone, Kent, England.
These books are in good condition. The pages are yellowed from age, but they are intact and the binding is good. The second series has pages 73 and 74 with wrinkled and tattered edges, but they are page is still attached to the binding. Illustrations are included in both full color and black and white.
The books are smoke free and clean.
These books measure approximately 5” wide by 6.5” tall.
They are beautiful collectibles with popular content and make nice tabletop decor pieces.
