This is a vintage Italian CHALKWARE or plaster cherub wall decor made by Sarem, a post-war Italian manufacturer based in Rome that specialized in decorative plaster and CHALKWARE pieces during the 1930s to 1950s.
This beautiful cherub is marked “Made in Italy” and “Riprodnzione Vietata”, which means “Reproductions Forbidden”, indicating a copyright or legally protected design proprietary to SAREM.
The stamped 158 on the back represents the specific model number or mold number.
It measures approximately 5”W x 8.5”H in size. It’s in nice condition with vibrant color. It has a few small chips to the paint along the shelf rim as seen in the photos. Please review all photos as they will give you a better idea of the condition.
