Double Spout Pottery Earthenware Creamer

$27.00

Details

This sweet little pottery earthenware creamer has two spouts for pouring. It’s sometimes called a tulip creamer due to the shape of its double spouts.
It measures about 3.5” across the top of the creamer and is 3” tall.
It is a mid-century piece. During the 1940s and 50s, American pottery giants like McCoy and Hall China, streamlined these handleless dining creamers. Because this one is quite chunky, it may have been made for use in restaurants. Restaurants and diners used them heavily because they could be placed in a commercial dishwasher without worries of the handles breaking off.
This little creamer is in very good condition with no chips and has lots of fine character crazing from age.
It will be a nice addition to someone’s collection or cottage core decor.
