Doulton Burslem Flow Blue Pitcher Staffordshire England Blue c1891-1902

$44.99

Details

This is a pretty petite antique Doulton Burslem earthenware pitcher made in Staffordshire, England between 1891 and 1902. It has a flow blue transferware pattern where the cobalt blue ink slightly bleeds into the white glaze during firing.
It has a paneled body, ornate floral motif, scalloped rim and hand-applied gold gilding. It dates to the Victorian era.
It measures about 4.4” from spout tip to outside handle and is 5.5” tall.
It’s in good condition with nice color. There is one small chip on the white area just inside the upper rim as shown in the photos. It’s right along the scalloped area so you really have to look for it.
It’s a beautiful, petite flow blue pitcher that has survived over 100 years and will be a nice addition to any flow blue collection.
