Details
This is a mid-century vintage brutalist style patchwork art ball or folk art sphere. It weighs about 2 lbs 12 ozs and is a hollow-core ball with thick gauge sheet metal wrapped and nailed to the ball.
This copper patchwork sphere is approximately 18” in length around its mid-section. And it is about 6” tall.
Artisans use curved sheets of copper and tightly fastened these sheets together around the ball using individual brass nails. These pieces are highly collectible.
This sphere is in nice condition. It does have some red ink traced around the ends. Please review the photos as they are part of this description.
